Indications of Itravil Ifa
It is indicated in the treatment of obesity associated with diet and with a body mass index equal to or greater than 30 kg / m², which have not responded to the diet in an appropriate way. Coadjuvant in the weight reduction therapy associated with the dietary plan, especially in diabetic, cardiac, hypertensive patients.
Route of administration: Oral.
Adults and children over 16 years: 2 capsules a day, one before breakfast and another one hour before lunch.
ITRAVIL IFA should not be administered for a period of more than eight weeks.
Suspend and resume treatment according to the doctor’s criteria.
Pulmonary arterial hypertension .
Severe arterial hypertension.
History of cardiovascular or cerebrovascular disease.
Psychiatric disorders including anorexia and depression.
Propensity to the consumption of drugs, known alcoholism.
Children under 12 years old.
Arteriosclerosis advanced studies.

Antidepressants or inhibitors of monoamine oxidase (MAOI). ITRAVIL IFA should not be administered for 14 days after taking MAOIs because hypertensive crises could occur.
Adverse effects of Itravil Ifa
Epidemiological studies have shown that the taking of anorectics is a risk factor involved in the development of arterial hypertension, pulmonary and that the use of anorectics is strongly associated with an increased risk of such adverse reaction. In patients treated with ITRAVIL IFA cases of pulmonary arterial hypertension, severe disease and frequently with fatal outcome have been described.
The first clinical sign usually consists of the presentation of exercise dyspnea, which requires the suspension of treatment and the study of the patient in a specialized service.
Effects on the central nervous system: The prolonged use of ITRAVIL IFA has the risk of developing pharmacological tolerance, dependence and withdrawal syndrome.
The most common adverse reactions are: psychopathic reactions or psychosis, depression, nervousness, agitation, sleep disorders, headaches may appear.
Cardiovascular effects: Adverse reactions with more frequency are: tachycardia, palpitations, hypertension and precordial pain.
Gastrointestinal effects: Dry mouth and constipation.
